The History of Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Fort Myers!

Fred Astaire Dance Studio has been open in the Ft. Myers area for 18 years now. (Since 1989).

In 1997, Mr. Steve Wilkie with the hopes of providing Fort Myers professional level yet affordable dancing instruction, hired only professionally certified instructors with backgrounds in dance and choreography. He wanted to set a very high standard.

As of early 2006, Fred Astaire of Southwest Florida is under new ownership. Former head instructor and studio manager, Andrea McCain has taken the helm.
